Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at info@bettercakesmiami.com. Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: [INSERT RETURN ADDRESS]

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

DEPOSIT, PAYMENTS AND CANCELATIONS

 

  • Any order over $300 with more than 15 days prior to the event, could be paid in full or by deposit 50% (non -refundable) and the balance 3 days prior the event.

  • If your event is postponed and you would like to reschedule, please email us at bettercakesmiami@gmail.com requesting the desired date & time. - at least one week (7 days) prior to delivery date.

  • For online orders, If you place a pre-design cake order online and for any reason need to cancel, you should be notified by email bettercakesmia@gmail.com and you will have the net amount as a credit for 6 months, refund is not allowed.

  • In the case you should need to cancel the order, the cancellation should be made 14 days or more before the event you could choose for the full refund or credit for 6 months. If the cancellation is made 7 days before the event you could choose for 50% of the previous payment as a refund or full amount as a credit for 6 months.

  • Better Cakes Miami does not offer refunds for custom products that meet our quality standards, when the product is out of our possession. Has been delivered and “Accepted” by the customer or another designated party.

  • In the unlikely event that you are not happy with the product, you should notify us immediately to find the best solution (considering the time, distance and reason) because we are not able to offer refunds when it is baked and decorated.

  • Refund requests due to decorating style, color shade or general decoration design will not be honored or considered. Most of the time the customers bring an image of another cake to be copied, for copied rights and for professional reason we make an attempt to provide a similar design, custom cakes are a work of art. It may not be possible to match an exact shade of a color, but we will come as close as possible. The final product may be subject to slight variations. 

  • In the unlikely event that you are not happy with the cake decoration after the cake has been accepted, the product should be returned immediately and we will determine with the client the best way to bring the fair reimbursement.

  • No store credits of any kind will be issued to customers who do not contact us within 48 hours.

  • In the unlikely event that Better Cakes Miami is unable to complete your order due to personal circumstances, we will offer you a full refund.

  • In the unlikely event Better Cakes Miami is unable to stay open and/ or produce cakes within your cake order date for mayor's reasons (by law enforcement), the full amount will be saved as a store credit and will be able to be used within 6 months.
